SHINE in Mexico: 12 Women, 8 Days, and One Life-Changing Yes

Twelve women said yes —11 said yes for themselves… and I was the 12th.

They trusted themselves, they trusted Parati Sacred Wellness, and they trusted me enough to fly across countries and step into a healing space with women they had never met. This was my very first international retreat — and it was absolutely incredible.

Not going to lie — there were a few hiccups (because we’re human and life happens). High tide swept away our chance for beach yoga some mornings.

A few small things popped up that were out of our control.

But none of it took away from the magic that unfolded.

Every day held its own moment.

Early morning yoga watching the sunrise.

Freshly cooked meals prepared with love each day.

Self-love workshops to support everyone’s SHINE journey.

Afternoon sound baths by the pool that let bodies and hearts soften.

Daily oracle messages and journal prompts.

Unlimited sun, deep conversations, laughter, tears, and breakthroughs.

We hiked to waterfalls.

We swam in the ocean.

We rested, reconnected, and remembered joy.

We had a taco-making class at my home.

We shared cacao ceremonies under the open sky.

We took empowerment photos on the beach — and yes, some of us got naked, liberation in the purest form.

We honoured Día de los Muertos with a beautiful celebration — and time spent remembering and honouring the loved ones we’ve lost.

We opened up.

We healed.

We transformed.

Eight days of bliss. Eight days of change.

The shifts I witnessed were profound.

Women who said they “hated journaling” filled half their notebook.

One woman who had been off work on medical leave left with the confidence to return.

Women set boundaries they had never set before.

Women worked through grief they had carried quietly for years.

Every story was different — but the journey was shared.

SHINE — Surrender, Heal, Integrate, Nurture, Emerge —This process has been central to my own healing. Even though I facilitate, I walk beside every woman as an equal. No one is above anyone. We show up honestly, we love deeply, and we SHINE together as a sisterhood.

Women from ages 30 to 77 joined us —Different backgrounds, different seasons of life, each bringing medicine to our circles.

This is why I created retreats.

Yes, the heat and ocean hold their own kind of magic… But it’s the transformations — in these women and in myself — that keep me doing this work.

I didn’t return home as the same woman. I grew. I found strength I didn’t know I had.

I stepped deeper into my purpose. I am finally living my dream — fully.

There truly are no words big enough to describe it all. My heart is overflowing… and still processing.

But for now, this is where we’ll leave it.

Our SHINE retreats continue this winter with SHINE into Winter.

We have SHINE in Costa Rica coming in May 2026.

Our very first CO-ED SHINE Soul Retreat is on the horizon… And we can’t forget SHINE in Mexico returning in November 2026.

This is just the beginning —and the best is still unfolding.
